Situated in the heart of Dublin 14, Ballinteer Montessori School provides a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The Montessori Philosophy:
The Montessori Method of education is a comprehensive attitude and approach toward nurturing young minds. Why the First Six Years Are Crucial
Maria Montessori emphasised the importance of the first six years of life as the most critical for intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development. Outdoor experiences reinforce classroom learning, offering practical lessons in science, observation, and environmental stewardship, while also supporting health and well-being.
ECCE Programme and NCS Subsidies
If your child is 3+ from Jan 2026, he/she is eligible for the ECCE Programme, i.e. 3 free pre-school hours per day and NCS subsidies for additional hours attended outside ECCE hours.

Teachkloud Childcare Management Software
Care and Education App: This is child-led and development-focused, while being user-friendly. The app includes - Daily sheets, child observations, attendance, accident forms, staff timesheets and much more. This online resource enables parents to view childrens' monthly observations, learning stories, and other relevant activities appropriate to the emergent interests of the child. There is a combination of group activities and individual lessons with phonographic evidence of each activity.
Family Partnership App: Engage families, share updates, and receive digitally signed forms. View responses when parents have seen what you have shared with them
Preschool Tool Box and Childcare Resources: which includes webinars on all areas of Child Development
Policies and Procedures: These documents are designed to develop guiding principles and safeguarding procedures to keep children using our services safe from harm.
